Not sure what you need?
Massage is a therapy of touch. By using a variety of movements, strokes and techniques, using their hands or arms, the therapist can help stretch and relax the muscles and fascia (tissues) that become tense or knotted for a variety of reasons. This could be through trauma, injury or emotional or physical stress.
The stroking movements that are done towards the heart, help to move the blood, lymph and waste products along their natural path, all of which can become trapped when tight muscles constrict the natural flow, by releasing the tension in the tissues posture is improved and everything can work more efficiently.
Touch is a very basic need in all of us and as such is very healing. Therapists may use other forms of energy or healing techniques to enhance the treatment.
Holistic/Swedish and Indian Head Massage are done as a gentle, soothing and deeply relaxing treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage is used if the tension is felt deep within the layers of the muscles which needs to be addressed to correct a problem area. Sometimes this can be a little uncomfortable but it is done to address a painful problem that should feel much better in a couple of days. The following day or two you may feel a bit tired and sore, a bit like when you've had a workout, but that will pass and then you should feel the benefits.
Myofascial Release Therapy is used to address postural problems, RSI (repetitive strain injury), acute and chronic pain brought about by trauma that is either physical or emotional and locked in the fascial web. Often people mistake the word Fascia for facial but fascia relates to the tissues of the whole body not the face, although treatment can be done to the face as part of a treatment or as a complete fascial facial. The therapist works with the tissue network of the body in a gentle but deep way, releasing restrictions that are impeding the natural free flowing movement and function of the body. Oils are not used.
Pregnancy Massage is done with the client in a side lying position with lots of support for ultimate comfort and relaxation.
